What We Do

Platform Earth is a charity driving material developments in ecological regeneration alongside cultural enrichment by creating active partnerships between cultural, scientific and governmental spheres.

We have united a coalition of leading artistic and cultural actors across the arts industry, to produce environmentally considered art exhibitions, installations, talks and other initiatives to fundraise for our environmental programme, as well as educate and raise awareness through the power of art.

Through our environmental programme we work with scientists and other expert partners to actively restore the marine environment. Our projects work to conserve and support regrowth of kelp, sea grass and other natural carbon sequestering marine environments to support the mitigation of climate change.

Platform Earth revolutionises how the creative industries’ environmental contributions are recognised and celebrated, driving a transformative dialogue at the intersection of art, science, and sustainability. We champion positive, solution-driven achievements in Contemporary Art, Literature, and Filmmaking, fields often informed by in-depth research, collaboration with scientists, and Indigenous knowledge of natural habitats. By amplifying the voices of creatives committed to environmental action, we aim to inspire innovation and meaningful responses to the climate crisis.

Meet the Team

Our Story

Platform Earth was founded in 2021 by a group of creatives who wanted to see the unique power of the arts to help the environment.

It also started when Petroc Sesti, Ruth Ganesh and Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst came together with a vision to unite leading artists, galleries and actors across the arts industry, to produce environmentally considered art exhibitions, events and projects, as well as educate and raise awareness through the power of art.

Our aim is to shift narrative and unlock funds for carbon capture, both marine and land, to mitigate the effects of climate change. We envision a future where the transformation of culture and consciousness have created a more sustainable art world.
