Darius Sanai is the owner of LUX media, an editor-in-chief at Condé Nast, and a partner in London-based Quartet Consulting. He was a journalist and foreign correspondent for many years, in South Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
LUX has a particular focus on art and sustainability, bringing together artists, creatives and business and scientific thinkers in its magazine content and events. Darius recently bought the Oxford Review of Books, to support long-form journalism and artistic illustration among a new generation.
Born in Tehran, he was brought up in Europe, studied PPE at Oxford University, where he launched his first magazine, and has since launched more than 30 publications around the world for Condé Nast. He is the co-founder and chair of the Louis Roederer Prize for Sustainability in Art, and consults institutions on art and sustainability.
